Research Assistant – Immuno- oncology

Job Description

The Research assistant will report to the Associate Director, Human Immuno-oncology, in the Research and Drug Discovery group. The candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory work in support of the functional validation of immunomodulatory molecules discovered by Compugen as well as Compugen’s clinical assets. The candidate is expected to independently perform hands-on laboratory work and record the generated data in accordance with company procedures. Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistance in conducting and analyzing in-vitro functional assays
  • Expression validation studies
  • Isolation of cellular blood components
  • Genetic modification of cell lines
  • Technical assistance in running the day-to-day activities of the lab
  • Temporary position for a year

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Life science, medical science or related field – must
  • At least six months experience working in a biological lab – must
  • Experience with tissue culture technique – must
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry – advantage
  • Background in immunology – advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently; proactively address issues and troubleshoot problems
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and collaborators
  • Well organized, efficient, and systematic
